Imagine if you will a website that provides single-click access to the websites college kids use the most. A free site that you can link to university sites, news feeds, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, email…all that fun stuff we seekers of higher education need to survive. (Including restaurant lists–sometimes there’s even coupons! Think about that–a break from Ramen, EasyMac and Hot Pockets! Or just really bland cafeteria food…or all of the above in my case.)
Look no further! I give you: CampusLIVE! http://www.campuslive.com/info/campus/16 (hey look! I figured out how to link things! I’m on a roll tonight! This morning? Eh…)
The website is a college students best web friend. Instead of having to hop around to different pages when you sign on, you can just make CollegeLIVE your homepage and have all the links you need right there when you open your browser. It also helps having all the links for things like your campus homepage, events, athletics, and all that other school related stuff on a toolbar at the top of the page. There’s also raffles for some really cool prizes–for the next 5 days CollegeLIVE users have the chance to enter a raffle for a free Dell Mini 9 Netbook. Another feature I like is the blog. There’s articles on all sorts of things from time management skills to Halloween costumes for this year.
The site’s free and you don’t have to create an account to use it–just if you want it to be personalized to your school.
Another great thing about the site is that the CampusLIVE staff wants feedback from users about what they want on the site and how it can be made better. If you have ideas, suggest them!
In short, check the site out. It’s both cool and useful (I swear!)
Oh! Real quick though, if you want to create an account but you don’t see your school, request it. And get your friends and roommates and classmates and whoever else on campus to do the same!
Ok, now you can go check the site out
Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?
